Wortell strengthens IT infrastructure of SPEYZER, a growing group of five trading companies

Lijnden and Eindhoven, 25/03/2025 – Wortell, a market leader in Microsoft technology, is taking over the IT outsourcing for Speyzer, a prominent international wholesaler consisting of EDCO, SHI, Edelman, Newco, and MAXECOM, as a strategic managed services partner. This collaboration marks an important step in Speyzer's digital transformation, in which Wortell uses its expertise to centralize, optimize, and future-proof the IT infrastructure..
Strategic IT centralization and migration to the cloud
In recent months, Wortell has taken over the management of Speyzer's existing IT environment as-is and securely centralized it. Through carve-ins and the migration of workplaces to a single tenant, the various operating companies within the group can now collaborate more effectively and securely. In addition, Wortell has taken over the management of the on-premise data centers, strengthened their security, and built an Azure environment as the foundation for the future application landscape.
The next step in the transition is the phased migration of the existing on-premise data centers to Azure, which will result in more efficient, secure, and cost-effective applications in the cloud. At the same time, this will create a strong and flexible IT infrastructure, enabling Speyzer to innovate faster and achieve its strategic goals.
Cost optimization through FinOps tooling
With FinOps, Wortell provides a strategic approach to optimizing cloud costs and making them more predictable. Our tools and expertise give customers deep insight into their cloud spending, helping them make data-driven decisions. Through continuous monitoring, analysis, and adjustments, we ensure that applications and workloads run cost-efficiently without compromising performance, security, or innovation.
FinOps helps Speyzer not only reduce costs but also build a culture of cost awareness. By aligning IT, Finance, and Operations, we ensure that cloud investments contribute to business objectives. Whether it's optimizing existing workloads or strategically migrating to Azure, Wortell provides control over costs and value creation.
Marc van Pinxteren, Group IT Director, looks ahead to the future:

Marc van Pinxteren selected Wortell for its innovative approach, extensive experience in complex IT transformations, and successful collaborations with leading companies.
